i'm back. in one piece.

OAC's finally over. i kinda miss camp, which is quite surprising. haha. i was so home sick for the first 2 days. kept pining for my bed, my nice clean toilet, my monkey to hug and AIR-CON. yes! air-con. the nights were so bloody hot and stuffy. the dorms on the 2nd level suck la. we hadta sleep without any ventilation and fans, and with the doors closed. we all sweated like pigs. thankfully after the 2nd day chief allowed for the doors to be open and at least there was a breeze coming in.

day 1: low elements and games. SUPER FUN. ((: s3+z3=fun. haha! played some retarded games and the low elements were so interestingly nice. hoho. i like the mohawk walk thingy! i did it blindfolded. wasn't a biggie but it was fun. :D thanks for the birthday song everyone. i was touched. ((:

day 2: tower and high elements. I ACTUALLY DID ZIP-LINE. i am so darn proud of myself. xDD hahahahaha! -smiles. it was hard for me at first, i was so terrified of the height of the platform. i spent abt 10mins sitting on the steps in my harness trying to muster enough courage to do it. and finally with ALOT of encouragement from my lovely friends, i did it. thanks sweeleng, chris etc! couldn't do any high elements cos of a bad stomach ache during the HE part. so i spent about 3hours sitting under the shelter with yanling. wasn't so bad cos i finally had a nice conversation with her. she's not as quiet as i though although she is sorta but she's nice! darn cute la. ((: she's my lil kitty! haha... yanling ah! must start talking to your mum more okayy!! lol...

day 3: pet rocket, field cooking, cruise and night hike. pet rocket was not bad. we made a rocket! hoho. field cooking was interesting! we cooked marcaroni and omelette and chicken with cabbage for lunch. it was yummy! the cruise to the southern islands was quite boring though. i fell asleep on the boat on the way to kusu island. the guide just kept yabbering on and on about singapore and her islands competition between other countries and piracy blah blah blah... so i decided to sleep. ((: after reaching kusu island we climbed up 152 steps to some malay shrine dedicated to some malay guy and his mum and sister. it was freaky cos their graves were there. i didn't exactly have a good feeling about it so i didn't stay long. char and i had fun counting the number of steps.

i enjoyed night hike so darn much. we hiked through kent ridge park and our guide rocked. she's just like my aunt. haha. it was so interesting! i wanna be like her when i grow up. she can spot little itty bitty things on the ground from a particular plant and recognise bird calls. and i was like 0.o haha! i learnt how to identify some plants! hairy golden fig, my favourite fishtail palm, and a drip-tip. :D we also saw a grey heron! and 2 small herons but i can't rmb their names. i spotted them. ((: we also saw a nightjar that has a cute but SUPER LOUD call. its call sounds like a baby croc's form afar. haha. we walked through a canopy walk in the park and saw singapore from the top. the view is breath-taking. ((: plus the breeze! omg. it was so nice. the bats were cute too! and we ate some plants like a pepper plant and some constipation relieving pod. GOSHNESS.

day 4: labrador challenge, campfire prep and astronomy. labrador challenge was damn fun! leader rachel followed s3 along with intructor jiayuan. our chem set-up failed terribly (haha) and we didn't manage to collect any water. our food dish rocked though. we made a sampan out of bread, tuna and egg, tomatoes, raisins and cucumbers. we trekked around labrador park looking for answers to our worksheet and along the way had ALOT OF FUN. singing stupid cheers and doing our s3 crazy laugh... guiding me blindfolded through some weird maze and having me walk into dead-ends trying to get me to walk into a pole, me accidentally poking leader rachel in the eyes and kicking her and pushing past her to get out etc. xDD quote leader rachel: "...you all are very enthusiastic, and very... CRAZY. so i want you all to keep up the level of enthusiasm okay??" -grinz. yayy! we had funfunfun. astronomy wan't too bad. went to the science centre. saw saturn and it looked like a glow-in-the-dark sticker! i saw craters on the moon too. mighty cool.

day 5: expressions, amazing race and campfire. we did a collage on our experiences in camp. and our collage rocked. hahahahaha!! patty and i talked so much weird stuff during our presentation. xPp for amazing race, we had leader wanxin follow us with intructor jiayuan. leader rachel was attached to another class. )): nvm. haha leader wanxin rocks too! she's so helpful okayy! i tell you, without her i don't think we'd have completed our race. haha goodness we owe her alot. but then again we repaid our debts by coming up with 3 cheers for her on the spot. haha! yayyness! x) campfire was so-so... the start was nice but the fire was so small! haha nvm. i absolutely LOVED the leaders' item. it was retarded! so darn funny. chief was so cute too! piang!news. HAHAHA! and the retarded commercials. omg i died laughing. i lost my voice that night.

haha okay so that was my experiences in camp. ((: i love 3s and even though we didn't get the best class for OAC, its alright. cos we've still got the end of the year. and we all know, deep down in our hearts, that sec3s was and is the best class in the sec3 cohort and that we rock solid.
