we survived almost an hour in the canteen of KCPS today after our match.
it was nerve-wrecking i tell you.
everyone was so rowdy and all, especially the guys.
then when we were walking towards the drink stall, two guys were running on the table tops and one of them slipped, fell and hit his head on the table!
like WHAM. literally.
i feared for his life man. its a miracle he survived.
and the worst part was that i saw it happen when i happened to glance in that direction.
OMG! scarryyy!! yuckers.

i'm so glad i'm in cedar.

a tad disappointed that we couldn't beat IJ TP...
but at least we're in the top 4 of the zone!

school after a looooong weekend break for the chinese new year just sucks.
i wasn't in the schooling mood the whole day.
almost didn't survive through the first lesson (which is evidently SS),
but luckily we had PE after that so i woke up.
and goodness me i died while jogging.
had all the extra fat wobbling around in places where they weren't supposed to be.
YUCKERS! haha.
i felt fat. BOOS.

the presentations during top were rather boring...
except for the part where they announced the best notice board results.
haha weishan, lou and i were squeezing each others' hands and squealing so much that you'd think we were getting back our O level results.
HAHA.
but yay we won! i'm so happy.

but i think another class would have deserved third place better.

training was tiresome.
mainly because i was so out-of-shape (aren't i always) from the cny break.
mrwee made us do 1min of footwork, 6 sets and we had to keep track of the number of strokes done.
so naturally we had to do it fast.
and at the end of the 6 sets my right hip started to hurt really badly.
i don't know why and that just sucks!
because without the cause i can't shed any light on my situation.
i don't think its because i didn't do my warm-ups properly - i always do mine well!
blah.
it could be due to the fact that i slipped while doing my first set but chris said my landing position seemed fine.

i continued to push myself further as training progressed,
and sad to say the pain just got worse.
at one point in time i couldn't walk without feeling a sharp pain (i still do though).
although after our drills the pain subsided for awhile.
then it came back again when i was playing doubles.
but i stupidly pushed myself and tried to cover the court and thus increased the pain.
now it still hurts!
i'm so scared.
and our match against IJ TP is this friday.
oh GAWD.

i can't believe my birthday's next week.
its coming up so fast!
i'm not prepared mentally ohgosh! AHAHA.

our class skit was PERFECT and our hard work really paid off.

managed to play two games of doubles... i played like shit today i don't know why.
i think it was because i didn't do proper warm-ups.

except sab and i so we went to far east for our favourite turkish lunch.
where sab subjected herself to embarassment by ordering the turkish ice-cream from the funny little turkish man.
i just stood there and laughed at her.

went to school on saturday for self-training..
turns out only huiyan, leng and i went.
but luckily mrwee came to play with us, so we could play doubles.
huiyan and i went to play tennis before that since it was family games day,
and some sec3 tennis players joined in.
i think they experienced first hand how retarded us badminton people can be. :P
omg it was so hilarious. but uber fun! i finally played tennis. (:
okay so we took turns partnering mrwee for doubles and when it was my turn, i think i played rather well.
haha either that or it was partnering a PRO player that made me feel good.
HAHA!
either way it boosted my self-esteem la huh. :D

update on our tournament progression:
beat crescent 4-1 last monday.
leng and i played slightly better though there wasn't much to fight for.
lost to rgs today 0-5 (haha).
we played rather well today, and made our opponents run.
managed to get 6 points in the first set but only 1 in the second.
pity though i don't understand why we broke down in the second set.
i'm rather sad about it actually but i'm also happy that we played well.
excluding all those annoying unforced errors.
heck, if not for that we could've given our opponents a run for their money.

as i mentioned earlier, our next match is this valentine's day!
at acsi... so if you guys ain't got a date, come down and support us!
haha although we most probably might lose since its scgs we're playing.
but to be optimistic, we MIGHT stand a chance of winning!

so far we've been on a winning streak, beating our opponents 5-0 all the way.
first chong boon, then kent ridge and st. theresa's.
played in the lastest 2, and my performance wasn't that satisfactory though.
especially against st. theresa's.
haha though leng and i were scared like hell of sumo.
but we pulled through and won YAY!
we gotta work on our pairings. and prove that we can do it.
i miss playing with huiyan though. its been ages hasn't it?
