greetings from wanaka, new zealand!
i'm at an internet cafe right now, and bored as hell.
well not exactly that bored, but more tired actually.
anyway, new zealand has been great, if not somewhat tiring.
i haven't exactly gotten a proper rest from the mission trip,
considering how i was whisked away the very next day.

everyday has been an adventure, anyway.
only 4 days here so far but done and seen so many things.
the scenery is unbelievable.
very much quite so.
its like, you can be walking around in a town, looking into shops,
and when you glance up and look into the distance, you see snow-capped mountains.
yes, snow-capped mountains when you're getting a sunburn on your arms.

let's see, i've already been to christchurch, wanaka, queestown and cardrona.
i've already had a picnic lunch, gone souvenir shopping, went horse trekking, fishing in the lake, driven a boat and travelled a looooooong way from my first stop by car.
and i am so very much pooped.
missing singapore too! the people and FOOD.
not saying that the food here isn't good, in fact, its fantastic.
but i do miss singapore's cuisine, after being away for so long and all..
i'm enjoying myself here in NZ, but i won't deny that i can't wait to get home.

alright, i know that i sent off a little note to my buddies who kept me company in lahu,
but i feel like typing another one here. haha.

faith! you lovely girl and my juliet! you don't know how much i've been missing you ever since i left. not like i'm not missing you now, though. i still am! very much so. anyway, we did EVERYTHING together! sleeping, star-gazing, tying friendship bands, eating, brushing teeth, washing face, caroling, singing our duet etc. its like the mission trip 2 years ago, but this time its been upgraded! haha i had SO MUCH FUN with you up there, really. and you're my no.1 customer when it comes to massaging! haha. okay, i really don't know what else to say if not i'll keep repeating how much fun i had with you. haha oh yes! and please listen to my advice on your hand next time okay?! i may not look it, but i know what to do in such situations! i can't wait to see you when i get back, honey. till then, ta!

joce! ahhhh you! you've left a legacy behind for not going for a single mission trip training. but you managed to fit in well and survived! apart from your bout of self-diagnosed stomach flu haha. i'm so proud of you, really! thanks for being there for me in lahu.. be it watching the stars, chatting about nonsense or stealing my body heat (faith, this applies to you too!). i'm really grateful that you came in the end, if not i wouldn't have had those enjoyable times spent with you. and you're a wonderful emcee to work with! i'd have been lost without you. anyway, remember to return my yellow/green pair of socks alright! they're my favourite lol. see you when i get back! missing you. (:

shawn! my brother's best friend. and my best pal! what would i have done without you, i really don't know. you're always there to give me a boost, and always cheering me up! thanks so much. (: i really had immense fun with you in lahu this time. all the joking around and chatting. and playing volleyball! you made yourself look like a fool, i'm serious! but we played well that day, we did. (: you dance some really awesome moves, just so you know. and i'm so proud that you choreographed the moves to liu xing zhu jiao! seriously, that was fantastic. wait till i let boon see it. okay i gotta go now, sorry can't type more for you. but i'm missing you loads! can't wait to see you when i return. toodles! (:

time passes too damn fast.
in a blink of an eye, badminton chalet, youth camp and mission trip have all ended.
its crazy, i tell you.
i'm finding it hard to keep up with things because they're happening so fast!

anyway, it seems like just yesterday when i stepped out of the sung teow onto santi ground again.
after 2 long years of waiting, reminiscing.
it felt so good to be back, so so good.
and at the same time a bit surreal. i could hardly believe that i was back.
santi is still the same, only that the store house next to the toilets was converted into a nice cemented house in which the girls bunked in.
as for the kids, everyone's grown up. they're all bigger.
mali's still as fat as ever though. som chat's taller but is still cheeky.
only after seeing his antics did i realise how much i had missed him.
ischta's located at wiang papao now, because yawba stepped down and moved.
she's so tall now! more matured looking and resembles my cousin, haha.
yawba's staying hot!
man, it was good to be back.

bonded a lot with shawn, joce and faith.
our own little clique.
star-gazing, slacking, working, chatting, singing, eating, everything was done with them.
i'm a bit sad that those times are nothing but a memory now, something behind me.
i truly enjoyed those moments -
when we froze our butts off lying on the mat watching the stars and chasing the dog away,
when i got you guys to pay me for eating the moth,
when joce got sick and we all cared for her,
when we KO-ed in the guys' dorm many-a-times,
when we had our chatting sessions huddling in the back of the truck,
when we caroled till we almost died.
when we held the bamboo strips to build the fence,
when we just slacked together.
i'm missing all those now. so very very much.
i really don't know how else i would've enjoyed myself without you guys.

as for mae ya min, the church is cemented now.
no more bamboo walls. there's a door in the front too.
and the inside has been segmented into a few rooms.
joce, faith, sab and i slept in the guys' dorm because there wasn't any space in the girls' dorm.
and we had fun with the guys, talking and joking around.
aruni's so tall now! and still as pretty, if not prettier. she is so gonna be damn hot when she's older.
ishak-gui's bigger too! and ohmygoodness me his looks should be banned because they're so handsome its hazadous.
he's so hot too.
how cool is that luh, their mother would be so proud.
i was really tempted to pack ishak-gui up and bring him home with me okay, because he's just oh-so-cute.
and everyone fell in love with him too. :D
i am so going up next year again, whether or not i have school.
if need be, i'll be a shawn and pon school HAHAHA.

i learnt quite a bit from this trip, though it was kinda slack.
since we had a lot of free personal time, i had the time to think about stuff.
i don't really know if one of the situations i'm in is good or not.
mixed reactions and all. sheesh.
anyway, God was really good to us on this trip.
He healed all the sick, and made things possible.
and He answered so many of my prayers.
God is good, all the time. (:

i hope i'll enjoy myself in new zealand tomorrow!
i'm starting to miss being in singapore.

i miss you.
