Gotta love it when I'm at home and the weather outside's about to storm. Love the crisp coolness of the air, the strong blowing winds and the fact that I'll be safe and dry when the onset of rain comes because I have a shelter over my head. I guess thats what everyone wishes for, isn't it? To have this sense of security in life that they'll be safe from whatever storms that come in their lives. And as Christians I'm really glad that we have the assurance of God as a perpetual shelter over our lives, that He will provide a safe hiding place no matter what comes. Even though sometimes we might be caught in the storm, at least we have God to back us up and give us strength to pull through. And of course, to dry and warm us up once the storm passes. So thank you, God, for giving me that peace in my heart. (:

Goodness me I don't even know why I'm so contemplative now. Haha and yes, its about to storm right now and as I looked out my window a few minutes ago, I felt the usual sense of happiness when its about to rain. Then I realised that I'm only happy when it rains because I'm indoors and safe. And the fact that I'm just less than a meter away from the window which separates me from the raging elements made me appreciate the shelter that I have. Which then lead me to think in a less literal sense and out came my little paragraph above. Haha thanks for speaking to me God! :D

(OMG THE WIND IS SUPER STRONG ITS SO SCARYY)

Anyways, I'd like to wish Gen, Celestine and Celesther a very happy belated birthday!! It was their birthday yesterday and for the twins, I wish I was there to celebrate with them. Never mind girls, I can make up for my absence when I go back in July. (:

As for Gen.. Well, I cooked omu rice for her birthday dinner because I couldn't think of anything else haha. And omg making omu rice is much harder than it looks! Wrapping the rice in the omelette is like *@$& annoying, and I just didn't have to guts to flip the whole thing into the plate. Ended up messing up two out of the four portions that I made, but luckily one was salvageable. Then we watched White Chicks on TV while eating, and then surprised Gen with little chocolate lava cakes! She liked them, but it was too sweet for my liking. At 12am, some of the Glennies and Chisholmites surprised Gen in our kitchen with a cake they bought, and silly Gen actually cried! Haha guess she totally didn't expect it. Then Tine, Polly and I snuck out to Tine's kitchen to ice another chocolate cake that we baked for Gen and brought it up to surprise her yet again! And our cake was absolutely fantastic, which was a huge surprise because we thought it was going to be a flop since we didn't have a cake mixer and as a result our batter was reeeeally lumpy. D: But I guess beginner's luck was on our side haha. After everyone left, the three of us rushed back down to Tine's kitchen to cook and assemble a bento box lunch for Gen to bring to school. It was like 1 plus in the morning at this time haha. So we rushed around, had lotsa fun, and produced the most adorable bento box I have ever made. Which doesn't say much since it was my first lol. Anyways there was tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette), Japanese potato salad, sausages and onigiri (rice cakes) with tuna filling. The onigiri was difficult to shape as well! But maybe because ours were mini onigiri.. I'd like to think that, haha. By the time we were done, it was 3am and luckily Gen was still awake so our final surprise was a success! Gen looked really happy so I was a really glad. (: Hope it was yummy! :D

With the stupid PHW essay out of the way, school at the most is more manageable. Its still stressful, but slightly better. Though we have like so many projects to do and then there's the stupid HBA test to study for next week. Grr, I wish it would all just stop. But ohwell, gotta press on. Like I said, I've got God to support me so I should totally persevere.

Yay, its finally raining! Don't you just love it. :D

But before I go, here are some of the things that we made for Gen! As well as the birthday girl (:
