ahhhhhhhhhh tomorrow's the last stage in my JAE application process.
i can quite safely say that i'll be posted to SRJC.
but if God wills it, ACJC will accept my appeal and take me in!
and i will be the happiest girl singapore has ever seen.
although if God wants me in SRJC then i'll be happy too.
since its what He wants and boon was from that school and he made many good friends.
either way, i think i'm looking forward to orientation!
then i can finally see and experience what the hype is all about.
and i can make new friends!
i hope God blesses me with many good friends whom i can relate and get along with.
and i hope to be a blessing to the people around me in my new environment.
church on sunday was great as usual..
seeing my lovelies again, worshipping God and learning about Him..
i learnt that God is longsuffering!
because we humans are pathetic at being obedient to His word and forever sinning.
had lotsa fun in LG listening to justyn talk crap and teach.
he's in hongkong now, probably stuffing his face with dimsum.
wonder if his hypothesis that hongkong dimsum is tastier than s'pore dimsum is right.
well, i'll know the answer when he comes back on 2nd march which is ONE DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY heheheh. :D
and my brownies were a hit! whoohoo!
faith ate so many pieces hahaha.
and i only had one ):
i'll be baking more to bring next week, due to popular demand LOL.
baking's quite fun. (: as long as its not a cake i think i can handle.
hopefully i'll have time on saturday to bake some more..
considering that i may be really busy adjusting to JC life and all.
went to j8 after service for lunch with joce, shawn and jason!
i still don't know why joce wanted to go there though, that place is dead boring.
but anyway we had a good time talking and eating at pasta mania.
then shawn and jason left while joce and i roamed j8.
tried to look for new school shoes but i couldn't find any nice converse ones.
i think i'll stick to wearing asics.
well joce decided to get her nails done and we roamed j8 for another hour before it was her turn.
then we parted our ways and i went home.
and today!
well i woke up in the morning to the thoughts of rotting at home and doing nothing,
basically another day of stoning at home awaited me.
shawn's text of reminding me that he needed to fulfill his promise of bringing me to the zoo only served to make me feel even more sian.
because school is starting on wednesday and once it starts i'd be left with little time to go to the zoo.
so basically i was left with today.
and dear ol' wonderful shawn came up with the wonderful idea of going to the zoo immediately.
so i asked my parents and they said yes and voila the next thing i know, i'm waiting for His Majesty at AMK station.
so we took 138 from the interchange all the way to the zoo.
and passed kegan's house along the way.
i still don't know why shawn was so excited when we passed his house though.
but anyway when we arrived i was so shocked and surprised to see the zoo!
the entrance is waaaaay different from the last time i went.
which was... in primary school? haha.
but yeah i was really impressed.
so shawn was really nice enough to buy me a ticket with his staff discount (his attempts to smuggle me in for free failed) and we entered the realm of the animals!
i hardly recognised the place lah, they really spruced it up!
we walked and walked and walked, and gawked and gawked and gawked at the animals.
saw many many animals!
hippos, monkeys, butterflies, reptiles, CAPYBARAS, big cats, wolves, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, birds, seals, penguins, otters, beras, squirrels, bats, porcupines, matinees, pelicans, dogs, goats, rabbits, miniature horses, elephants and many many more!
and we even caught the dunno-what splash safari show and had a good laugh at a certain person.
*shakes head* LOL.
and we saw the white tigers, hippos, lions, sun bears and other animals during their feeding time!
my favourite was the white tigers.
they're so beautiful and majestic and OH-SO-LOVELY!
omar has my 101% support to be the zoo's next icon!
omar's the zoo's only male white tiger, for those who're clueless.
he's so handsome and regal..
AHHHH! xD
okay then we dragged our tired bodies to kfc which was tucked away in a corner of the zoo and had lunch.
i like that kfc.. it was so empty hahaha.
rushed to the kid's world to catch the kid's animal show comprising of 2 really funny animal keepers who will win the next oscar award and 2 dogs.
really childish show but at least i saw the dogs hahaha.
then we went back to the kid's play area to play in the big tub filled with plastic balls.
but alas, some stupid guy was standing at the entrance making sure that no person above 120cm played in the ball pit.
so shawn and i settled with the swings which were "suitable for children aged 2-6".
thankfully we didn't break the swings and left to conquer the rest of the zoo.
passed by ah meng's grave (it was a pile of soil) and shawn had his picture taken with a statue of ah meng.
there was an uncanny resemblence between the two HAHAHA.
walked in the fragile forest and saw many cute butterflies! ahh they're so pretty.
then we paid the alligators and false gavials a visit and reached the wolf enclosure in time to see them being ushered into their dens. -.-
so.. we ended our zoo trip walking around the retail shop and boarded the bus home.
all in all, i had TREMENDOUS FUN. (:
it really made my day, thank you shawn! x)
