HAPPY EASTER SUNDAY EVERYONE! Rejoice for Christ has risen :D

Today was pretty much an awesome day, because I went back to Northside for Easter service in the morning. Celestine and Su-yen came along for the first time too! Anyway I felt so happy to be back at Northside, and I've realised that its kind of the church that I'm happy to settle down in. I don't know why but I just feel really happy worshipping in that church, and the congregation are all so cheery, welcoming and sincere. I guess after church-hopping quite and visiting quite a few churches since my brother and my new friends came, I've seen how other churches operate and how they all differ/are similar to each other. And right now I think its safe to say that I've found the church that I'm happy with. Bonus point about Northside is that its so near La Trobe too! Only seven tram stops away, and I can even get away without paying for the ride. :D But that aside, the only peeve is that whenever I go to visit Brian in the city on alternate weekends I won't be able to attend service. Though its better than nothing I guess. With that, I hope that Northside will nurture me and help me grow in my walk with God!

Bridge Church's Make It Personal camp was disappointing, to say the least. It really wasn't what I expected it to be. Don't get me wrong though, I had fun and all, but it just wasn't fulfilling. And dare I say, it was a waste of the AUD$120 that I paid. Anyway, I actually returned from camp more troubled than enlightened, and though I'm troubled with a few issues, its good in a way because I get to clear out stuff while questioning things. Three quarters of the camp was spent as free time, and the remaining quarter was the usual praise+worship and sermon bit. The games we played were retarded and uncivilised, and I got many a bruise from tackling guys from other teams. Heck, the games weren't even tied back to Biblical themes! Well, the four sermons that were preached at the camp were pretty good, especially those from the first speaker Kerrin. I absolutely love his sense of humour and the way he tells his stories about his nephews. Bloody hilarious. Wish I could hear him preach more. Anyway I probably based this camp on my experiences with the camps that I'm used to in Singapore, where there's much more bonding and activities organised and the itinerary is much more packed. And I've concluded that I prefer Singapore's camps to camps like these. Ahwell.

Apart from the disappointment of the camp, I had fun hanging out with Celestine, Michelle and Su-yen. Got to know Mich and Su-yen better, and made a few new friends too. The new friendships weren't as ideal as I wished it to be (due to the fact that they already had their own group of friends and there wasn't much time to get to know them more), but they were all mostly nice and funny people. Spent quite a bit of time by the beach that was right next to our campsite, and it was positively lovely. The sand was sooo fine and smooth, and the water was so clear! Felt like I was at an upgraded private Bintan beach haha. On the last night the four of us went down to the beach and lay on the sand and star-gazed and had girl heart-to-heart talk! Learnt lotsa stuff about everyone too (; When it was time to leave on Saturday I was more happy than sad, actually. I kinda wanted to get home but didn't want to leave the beach at the same time. But I guess all (relatively) good things must come to an end.

Typing this from Spas' room in CS.. Went to her aunt's place for dinner just now with Brian. Had laksa, popiah and kuey pai ti! It was all awesome, especially the laksa haha. Played table tennis after dinner (yeah, her relatives are rich and have a basement with a table tennis table), ended up laughing for 15 minutes straight with Spas, then had nonya kueh for dessert. Hahaha it was a fantastic time. Really thank Wendy's relative for being so nice and allowing us to have dinner with them. (:

Alright that's about it! Just trying my best not to leave my blog to rot again. Gonna hit the sack now, and hopefully tomorrow won't be such a bore since its a post-Easter public holiday. Ta!
